Boarding

At Sirius Horses, the well-being of your horse is our number one priority.  Your horse is stabled in a large, well-ventilated barn with access to the indoor arena.  Fresh, clean water is always available. A wide variety of high-quality, tested hay is available to horses throughout the day and night.  We adjust the type of hay to meet your horse's nutritional needs. Grain and supplements are fed once a day (provided by owner) and beet pulp is included in your board, if required. Horses are turned out to their individual outdoor paddocks at 7:30 am and returned to their stalls at the end of the day.  Adjustments to this schedule are made according to the weather.  Blanket service is included in your board. All boarders require proof of HBC insurance and a signed waiver form. 

Stalls

Stalls are 10 by 12 feet, with rubbers mats and a generous covering of wood shavings. There are two sections to the barn - heated and non-heated and rates vary accordingly.   Stalls are cleaned daily.

Paddocks

Each horse has an individual paddock, with fresh water, and hay always available.  All paddocks have shelters.  Paddocks are cleaned daily.

Tack Room

Our heated tack room boasts a custom-designed and crafted space for your valuable riding accessories. Boarders have large, individual tack lockers with a shared space for putting on your boots. A water cooler and small fridge are available for your use.

Rates

  • Monthly board in a heated stall and outdoor paddock:       

    • Daily turn out​

    • Fly-masks and blanket service, as needed

    • Use of both arenas and trails

    • Holding for in-house farrier, if necessary       $850 + gst

  • Monthly board in a non-heated stall and outdoor paddock:       

    • Daily turn out​

    • Fly-masks and blanket service, as needed

    • Use of both arenas and trails

    • Holding for in-house farrier, if necessary       $750 + gst

 

  • Holding Service for owner-arranged appointments    $15
